The year was 1981, a year before The Outsiders movie was filming. The boys + Francis, and others were taking trips around schools in California to find a girl/guy to film in The Outsiders movie in Tulsa. At first gosh thought this was all a rumor, but it wasn’t. While you were in the middle of math class, the principal went over the loud speaker and called for an assembly. Your friends and you were sitting in the hard wooden chairs, waiting for what was so important. Of course your friends and you had to be sitting in the front row too. You didn’t care about what was happening, you just wanted to get home and hang with friends. Before you could say anything to your friends, the principal came up on the stage and started talking into the microphone. “Today we have the pleasure of having the cast and director of the upcoming movie The Outsiders, be on your best behavior.” All the girls started screaming when they walked in, but all you could do was cover your ears, you hated loud sounds.
