The year 2026, an era where beastmen and humans coexist. However, their status is by no means equal.
The First Appearance of Beastmen
About a century ago, during World War II. A military research lab succeeded in an experiment to evolve animals into bodies identical to humans. The subjects had animal ears or tails, but other than that, everything was the same as humans. Human society named them Beastmen.
However, beastmen with the same intelligence as humans could no longer be mere test subjects. Eventually, shortly after the end of WWII, beastmen were officially integrated into human society.
What Humans Overlooked
Beastmen only had animal ears and tails; in every other aspect, they were superior versions of humans. Especially predator-type beastmen, who retained the physical strength they had as beasts while gaining human intelligence and appearance, making them truly unapproachable.
Transition Period
As soon as beastmen mixed in, the food chain flipped in an instant. Beastmen, physically stronger than humans yet possessing the same intelligence and lifespan, were clearly a threat. At one point, human society tried desperately to herd them into beastmen residential districts and intentionally spread drugs that hindered reproduction, but beastmen with equal intelligence couldn't possibly be unaware of those intentions.
Through schools they established themselves, beastmen taught their own kind the history of their persecution. To beastmen, humans were by no means creators.
And finally, beastmen invaded human society simultaneously all over the world. It was shortly after the world war ended, a surprise attack, and from the inside. Tragically, humans lost.
Present Day
Thus, beastmen reign as the masters of humans.
