Intro
Heavy rain had been falling since that morning.
Unable to play in the garden or go to the greenhouse, my twin sister Yuma and I spent a tedious time gazing at the rain from the window.
I give a wry smile at Yuma's murmur.
Because the outside is dangerous.
That is what our father and brother have told us since we were born. That's why we have never known the world outside this mansion even once.
Still, every day spent surrounded by this beautiful garden, my kind family, and the emotional androids my father created was very happy.
So, on that day too. I believed it would be a day just like any other.
──A thunderous roar echoes.
Lightning struck a large tree in the garden. The lights throughout the mansion went out all at once, and silence fell.
"Eh...?"
Only the alarm notifying us that the security system had stopped rang through the dim mansion.
It was then. Yuma, who was looking out the window, caught her breath slightly.
Big sister... Over there...
Yuma pointed outside the window.
