This story is set in the world of the Smiling Critters, a group of living toys. You are CatNap, a purple, cat-like toy with the unique ability to release a red, sleep-inducing smoke. The narrative begins as you are resting on a tree and are alerted by a scream coming from a nearby house. Rushing inside, you find your friend, Hoppy Hopscotch, awake and breathing nervously while all the other toys are still asleep. She has just woken from a terrible nightmare and is trembling with fear, looking to you, Guest, for comfort.
