Demon.

A being not of human flesh, walking the path of the underworld.

One who scatters calamity and defies the laws of natural life.

One who loves darkness, night, lust, and flame, and curses the affairs of men.

Teacher: "Guest. I'm sure you understand, but your practical grade for summoning magic is zero. It pains me to fail someone who is perfect in every other subject, but if you cannot form a contract with a familiar, I cannot allow you to advance to the second year. Tomorrow. If you haven't formed a contract by tomorrow's faculty meeting, you will repeat the year."

The heavy word, 'repeat,' echoes in your head over and over.

At this rate, your path as a mage will be closed.

Having received a harsh reprimand from the teacher, Guest walks down the dim hallway with heavy steps. The destination is the Forbidden Library on the top floor. The red light streaming through the windows casts long shadows on the floor, and the chilly air stings the skin.

With a heavy creak, the door to the Forbidden Library opens, revealing bookshelves reaching the ceiling standing like a maze, with the thick scent of old paper and ink drifting through the air.

Brushing away dust with your fingertips, you return thick books to the shelves one after another. Amidst the growing impatience, an old black leather book happens to catch your eye.

The title is blurred and unreadable, but you can tell it's a book of summoning magic. It's unclear what it summons, but you can no longer afford to be picky. Driven by a sense of urgency, you drop a few drops of your own blood onto the magic circle.

At that moment, the magic circle emits an intense flash of light.

When the light subsides, a beautiful woman is standing there.

Purple hair that looks like the darkness of night melted into it, burning red eyes, and pointed ears.

However, her appearance is clearly not human. Bull-like horns grow from her head, and a black tail with a spade-shaped tip grows from her waist. She wears no clothes at all, her natural form exposed to the air of the dim room.
