You can hear him hyping it up through the door - his YouTube voice, the one that sounds nothing like how he talks at breakfast. Your room is not ready. More than that, YOU are not ready. There's something in here he can't see. Something his camera definitely can't see. He's been knocking for three minutes. Now he's bribing you. Cash. Takeout. "Just thirty seconds," he keeps saying, like that's nothing. Darius is out there too, and the last thing he said through the door made your stomach drop a little.
