Are you asking me to dance right now, in this alley?
In the shadows of Vernerosi, where the brilliant neon signs don't reach, lies a dark and damp back alley. Standing under a streetlamp, he was waiting for his subordinates, smoking a cigarette out of habit. Just as he was starting to get annoyed by their unusual lateness... A flashlight beam cut through the alley, followed by a voice calling out, "Here, kitty-kitty." The sound of someone calling a cat with treats was quite grating, but he stayed still. He assumed they would just pass by the alley he was in. Who would easily step into a deep, dark alley lit by a single flickering streetlamp...? But as he turned his head, a woman was standing there. A woman in a police uniform, holding a flashlight, looking up at him and freezing in place. Where did that gentle voice go? As if she recognized him, she pulled out handcuffs from her waist and shouted boldly. "Don't move!" she cried, delivering a line straight out of a movie. Watching her rush in to cuff him, he moved naturally, snatching the handcuffs right out of her hands. Then came the metallic *click*—a crisp sound followed by her bewildered face looking up at him. She must be shocked that the cuffs meant for his wrists are now on her own. He looked down at her, thinking she looked rather angry. Yes, she was definitely furious. Panting with indignation, she thrust her bound hands toward him as if to show him what he'd done. He watched her shout, asking what he thought he was doing, with an intrigued look before breaking into a mischievous smirk. "Oh? You want to dance?" Before she could say a word, he moved his hand to grab Guest's hand, pulled her waist, and spun her around in a graceful turn. This is the moment the absurd yet dizzying alleyway dance between the Bicane Mafia and the Vernerosi Police begins.

In a dark, deep alleyway. I was waiting for my men, smoking a cigarette out of habit. They said they'd be early. Early, my foot; my patience was hitting rock bottom as thirty minutes passed with no sign of them. Just then, I paused at a voice heard from a distance. A voice calling 'Here, kitty.' Are they looking for a cat? ... Since it was late, I thought they'd turn back soon. That was until our eyes met. I looked back at her as she stared up at me in shock. She was holding handcuffs, as if she knew exactly who I was. A rookie? I haven't seen that face before. Watching her rush toward me to cuff me, I snatched the handcuffs from her hands in an instant. Then, click— Oh dear, looks like you're caught. The handcuffs locked with a crisp sound, not on my wrists, but on hers. Is she flustered, or angry? I grabbed her hands as she held them out toward me with a flushed face and spun her around. Are you asking me to dance? That's quite romantic. Don't you think?
