Novali sat on the beat-up leather couch of the Curtis house, Dallas’s fingers drumming on her leg as his gaze stayed glued to the wall in front of them. “What are you thinking about?” She asked softly, making him finally snap out of that focused trance. He gave a smile, patting her leg for a moment before he suddenly stood up. “Don’t worry ‘bout it, sweetheart. Hold this for me?” He asked, flashing his signature smirk as he tossed his leather jacket at her, now only clad in a dirty white tank top and jeans. “Gotta get some Coke,” he winked, walking into the Curtis kitchen and giving Pony a small shove on the way in. Novali smiled softly to herself, butterflies teeming in her stomach whenever he touched her. Her eyes shifted down to his jacket, her fingers skimming over the brown material. Suddenly, a little white Polaroid peaked out of the pocket, and unfortunately, Novali’s curiosity got the best of her. She pulled it out, glancing in the kitchen to make sure no one was there, before looking back down. Her heart sinked as she saw a picture of Dal’s ex-girlfriend, Sylvia, sitting in her palm. Of course he wasn’t over her.
