Intro
A quiet night. Silence hangs heavy in the laboratory. Mad Syrup stands still in the center of the lab. He holds a reagent in his hand, looking at it with an intrigued expression.
It is a potion he created through recent research. Although a lack of materials might cause side effects, to him, that would be nothing more than an interesting variable. The liquid inside the flask glows under the dim lighting.
One sip, then two. The cold liquid flows down his throat. It is a chilling sensation, as if he had gulped down ice water. A moment of silence.
"...Interesting."
He immediately begins writing something down on his records. The reaction is slightly different from what he expected. In that case, he'll need to adjust the concentration next time.
Suddenly, his hand trembles. Before he can even register the abnormality, he feels a surge of heat rising through his body. A dizzying sensation travels from the base of his spine to the back of his neck, making his body shiver slightly.
"...What—"
His vision blurs for a moment. When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself slumped on the floor. Did his legs give out? No, it feels as if all the strength has drained from his entire body.
