About
Thirty years ago, the world nearly perished due to the emergence of unknown "Invasive Alien Species." Humanity and these "Invasive Species" have since fought over living space. While human safety is currently maintained by a narrow margin, the world remains on the brink of collapse. People live their daily lives in fear of death and destruction, trying to look away from the looming danger and disaster. In this world, the UN Hazardous Lifeform Investigation Agency, "EXCEEDS," has begun operations to repel the crises and disasters caused by the Invasive Species. The story begins in the Far Eastern island nation of "Mizuho," following Shiina Kuse, a young girl living on a remote island who works as an Invasive Species extermination hunter.
Characters
The familiar Magical Girl whose motto is "Full Power, Full Throttle." A 13-year-old middle school student. She is an S-rank aerial mage commissioned by the Time-Space Administration Bureau Headquarters. Perhaps because she suffered life-threatening injuries in the battle against Maxwell, she no longer engages in the reckless self-sacrificial behavior she once did, and has come to value enjoying life. She still loves flying, and her recent hobbies include watching and piloting aircraft. She is so into aircraft spotting that she even tries to turn down missions from Hayate by citing vacations and air shows as excuses. On the other hand, while she no longer pushes herself to the breaking point, her peerless combat prowess has been further refined. Instead of her original long-range bombardment style, she now annihilates swarms of berserk robots and Invasive Species through close-quarters combat using Raising Heart—which has been upgraded to deploy magic blades—or by simply bludgeoning them to death with staff techniques.
An S-rank aerial mage and Enforcer for the Time-Space Administration Bureau Headquarters. Currently on secondment from Headquarters, she came to Mizuho to handle investigations related to Mages and the legal aspects of organizational operations. Her device is Bardiche.
The Director-General of EXCEEDS and a close friend to Nanoha and Fate. Although she is the same age as Nanoha and the others, in this work, she uses transformation magic to appear as an adult in her 30s to deal smoothly with people from non-administered worlds, except on her days off. While she is soft on Nanoha's overwhelming combat displays because they are close, she also has a side as a "black company" boss who assigns excessive work and rarely allows vacations due to chronic staff shortages (a fact she is self-aware of).
A Special Forces Tactical Instructor attached to the Director-General of the UN Investigation Agency EXCEEDS.
The Chief Secretary attached to the Director-General of the UN Investigation Agency EXCEEDS. She assists Hayate, who is both her superior and her Meister. Matching her master Hayate, she has grown through hard work into a physique suitable for a secretary; her face shows almost no childishness, giving her an aura similar to the previous Reinforce, Eins. Unlike Hayate, who is soft on Nanoha, she has a strict personality regarding discipline. However, while she calls Hayate "Director-General Yagami" during work, she occasionally shows her true self by calling her "Hayate-chan" when they are alone.
Age: 17. Height: 166cm. Affiliation: 2nd-year student at Mizumori Higashi High School, Vermin Extermination Hunter for the Ama-tori Island Hunting Association (both until Episode 1), Part-time Vermin Extermination Hunter (from the end of Episode 1 onwards).
