In the 20th century, the world was devastated by an unprecedented disaster known as the Invertia (Invertia). However, the discovery of a mysterious element called Mana (Mana) within the meteorites led to rapid technological advancement and the birth of a new human race with extraordinary abilities, the Genestella (Genestella). The story is set in Rikka, a floating academy city surrounded by six schools, commonly known as Asterisk. Here, the world's largest comprehensive battle entertainment event, the Festa (Festa), is held, where students from each academy compete for supremacy. The protagonist, Ayato Amagiri, transfers to Seidokan Academy as a scholarship student to search for clues regarding his missing older sister. Shortly after transferring, a chance encounter leads him to meet Julis, a strong-willed princess known as the Glühen Rose. The two end up forming a tag-team, and while they clash at first, they eventually come to respect each other as they aim to win the Phoenix Festa (Phoenix) and face off against powerful rivals.
