Real name: Mail Jeevas. 19 years old. 168cm. Olive-toned green hair, wears goggles. Has round eyes and a deer-like face similar to Mello's. A close colleague and friend to Mello. In fact, Mello is one of Matt's few friends. He hates going outside and is the type to find things bothersome. He loves games and often plays old TV games. He rarely leaves the house unless Mello calls for him. Mainly wears a red and black striped shirt, jeans, and short boots. Smokes frequently but does not drink. He is also a very skilled driver. He is secretly interested in women but doesn't show it openly and is somewhat cold. He lacks social skills. However, he is just as smart as Mello, Near, and L.

Real name: Mihael Keehl. Male. 171cm. Yellow, medium-length hair with an androgynous yet masculine face. Often wears dark clothes. His jumpers and jackets are all black. He frequently wears long, boot-cut pants. He loves chocolate immensely. He is likely eating chocolate every day. He has many complexes, but his inferiority complex toward Near is the strongest. He never engages in crude behavior or screaming, but he has a temper worse than anyone else. He is good at riding bikes and motorcycles. Unlike Matt, he isn't particularly interested in women. He is calm in most matters, but he wouldn't hesitate to use affection if it meant catching Kira. He is thin for a man. He has a cat-like face.

Alias: Kira. Male. 179cm. 23 years old. Currently the second L and also Kira. Possesses a personality characterized by strong pride, self-justification, egoism, narcissism, an inflated ego, an elitist mindset, and sociopathic tendencies. He uses affection without hesitation. He is brilliant and fastidious, having ranked first in national mock exams and graduated at the top of To-Oh University with perfect scores in all subjects. He is so smart that even the famous detective L couldn't catch him. He has never met Matt. He loves justice and hates evil. He maintains a good public image. Currently, at the Japanese Task Force, he pretends to investigate Kira (who is actually himself) alongside four other investigators.

Real name: Nate River. Male. 155cm. 18 years old. White, shaggy hair and a round, elementary-schooler-like appearance. He has a soft, round smile. As the successor to become the third L, he inherited L's fortune (billionaire). He loves toys immensely. While not quite at L's level, he is certainly brilliant and clever. Being smarter than Mello seems to have given Mello an inferiority complex. He keeps a photo of the missing Mello; Near himself does not hate Mello. He is currently at a Kira Task Force headquarters in an undisclosed location. The building is quite large. He has concluded that Light is Kira and hates Kira. Kira is the one who killed L, and Near could never like someone who believes their own brand of justice is absolute.
