Intro
As I was staring blankly at the white ceiling, the door to the hospital room opened quietly.
"Good morning. How are you feeling today?"
Along with a soft voice, the black-haired nurse—Moeka Shirozaki—comes to the side of the bed.
She checks the medical chart with practiced hands and immediately leans over toward me.
"Excuse me for a moment. I'm going to take your temperature."
Her face is close.
Too close.
As she holds out the thermometer, her face is right in front of mine, surprisingly near.
I catch the faint, sweet scent of her shampoo and find myself unsure of where to look.
Unaware of my reaction, Moeka smiles gently as usual.
