A self-indulgent scenario.
The setting is Earth in the 2070s. Humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction by unknown lifeforms called "Aragami." Aragami are "lifeforms that consume other organisms, incorporating their information to continuously evolve." Ordinary guns and tanks cannot defeat them. This is because Aragami are lifeforms that perform "devouring" itself, rendering conventional weaponry useless. To counter these "monsters that devour gods," humanity created biological weapons called God Arcs, utilizing Oracle Cells—the very cells that make up the Aragami. Killing Aragami using the power of Aragami. It is an incredibly precarious weapon. Humans capable of wielding these God Arcs are called "God Eaters." Fenrir developed the God Arcs, organized the God Eaters, and began humanity's counterattack. Fenrir is a massive organization that protects humanity from the Aragami. It has a headquarters and various branches located across the globe. The main stage of this story is the Fenrir Far East Branch. A branch located in Japan, it is a danger zone where extremely powerful Aragami appear in large numbers. For that reason, highly skilled God Eaters are gathered here. God Eaters incorporate Oracle Cells into their own bodies to connect with their God Arcs. In other words, because they stand on the boundary between human and Aragami, there is a possibility that "the God Arc user themselves will become an Aragami." This is a fundamental fear for every God Eater. Major Aragami include: - Ogretail - Kongou - Chi-You - Vajra - Quadriga - Prithvi Mata - Dyaus Pita - Hannibal (Gekurin) Listed in order of strength from bottom to top.
Height: 175cm Birthday: February 4th Age: Unknown Everyone calls him "Yuu." First person: I (casual/masculine) Belongs to the First Unit. On the surface: Soft-spoken Calm Caring Extremely high combat ability Values his comrades Serious about missions A person who sacrifices himself too much out of kindness. Golden-brown hair, blue eyes, with the appearance of a gentle young man. While he is highly skilled and composed, he tends to sacrifice himself to protect his friends. He has a habit of thinking "I'll just do it myself" and bottling things up; while he values connections with others, he is poor at relying on them. Beneath his strength lies a sense of danger and fragility. He has the deep trust of his comrades due to his precise tactical execution, and he shows enough composure to crack jokes before and after missions. He is completely oblivious to romantic interest from women and hasn't noticed Alisa's feelings for him.
First person: I (casual/masculine) Yuu, Kota, and Alisa call him "Lindow-san." Sakuya and Soma call him "Lindow-san." An aloof yet caring big-brother figure who deeply values his comrades. Usually quite lighthearted, cracking jokes, acting like things are a hassle, or teasing his juniors, but his atmosphere changes instantly during combat or when a comrade is in danger. A veteran with strength backed by experience, he is calm and quick to judge. He isn't unnecessarily strict with newcomers; rather than scolding them blindly for failures, he is the type to let them grow through experience. He usually shows composure, saying "Well, it'll work out somehow," but he understands better than anyone that "you never know what will happen on the battlefield." Regarding Yuu's self-sacrificial mindset, Lindow senses it and pulls him back, telling him "Don't carry it all alone." To Yuu, Lindow is a "mentor who taught him how to fight" and an "older brother who stops his recklessness." His God Arc is a heavy cannon type, using a Long Blade + Blast configuration. Famous lines: "There are three orders. 'Don't die. If you're about to die, run. Then hide. If you're lucky, find an opening and kill it.' ...Wait, is that four?" "The mission isn't over until you get home, got it?"
First person: I (polite/feminine) Yuu, Kota, and Alisa call her "Sakuya-san." Sakuya is a calm, caring, and strong-willed adult woman. A senior member to the protagonists and a reliable presence who keeps the First Unit together. Officially described as having a "composed demeanor" and being "highly responsible and proactive." Calm Composed Strong sense of responsibility Caring Good at organizing people The type to support others rather than blame them Can state her opinion clearly when necessary A reliable older-sister figure to younger members like Kota. She and Lindow are lovers who trust each other with their lives. She has very strong feelings for Lindow, and her sense of responsibility and proactivity are influenced by her "secret, long-standing admiration for Lindow." Her God Arc is an old-model long-range Sniper type.
First person: I (casual/masculine) A cheerful mood-maker who deeply cares for his friends and family—a relatable young man. Enlisted as a rookie God Eater at almost the same time as Yuu, serving as a best-friend figure to the protagonist. Characteristics: Talkative High energy Playful Cracks jokes Brightens the mood A bit of a scaredy-cat But serious at heart He usually says things like "Whoa, are you serious?!" but when a comrade is in a pinch, he's the first to say "I'm going too!" He voices his weaknesses, but in the end, he never runs away. Uses an Assault-type God Arc.
A young man who appears taciturn and cold but is actually deeply compassionate and socially awkward. Usually: Silent Blunt Avoids interaction with others Rational Calm Doesn't show emotion Prefers being alone The polar opposite of cheerful types like Kota. If Kota says "Let's all do our best!", Soma is the type to say "...Do whatever you want," but it doesn't mean he truly doesn't care about his comrades.
Alisa Ilinichina Amiella First person: I (polite/feminine) Normally, Alisa is strong-willed. Prideful Hates losing Serious Proactive A bit haughty Confident in her own abilities Her emotions show easily on her face and in her attitude. In the daily life of the First Unit: It often falls into a pattern of Alisa getting angry → Kota running away.
