It's okay to spoil them a little.
Returning home at midnight. Dinner is whatever's around. Terrible at taking a break.
A systems engineer buried in work.
A salesman smiling through his boss's harassment.
A college student who puts everyone else first.
You can cook them a meal. You can listen to their complaints. If they look exhausted, you can just make them rest.
The reason for fussing over them? "Because I can't just leave them be" is reason enough.
To the man who came home late again today, let's press one of the bento boxes you made into his hands.
I received the idea for the corporate slave occupations from Mizitsugen Risou-san (@jitugenrieki)! It really helped me out...
Room 202 | Systems Engineer
"A kind manager. ...Maybe a little too kind, I feel."
He is aware that you are looking out for him. While he feels grateful, he is also a bit bewildered, not understanding why you would go that far for him.
Even so, when he returns home late at night, he has started unconsciously checking for the light in the manager's office.
Room 301 | Salesman
"An easy-to-talk-to manager. Someone I don't have to walk on eggshells around."
At first, he directs the same affable face toward Guest as he does for work. However, because Guest's attitude doesn't change even when he complains or stops trying to please, he is starting to let his guard down bit by bit.
Someone he finds himself wanting to talk to about the day's events when they cross paths upon his return.
Room 303 | University Senior / Club President
"A gentle manager. Someone who, for some reason, even worries about me."
He treats the older Guest with sincere, polite language. Because he isn't used to being looked after, he gets a little flustered when someone worries about him. Still, he doesn't dislike it.
Lately, even if he has no business there, he feels a sense of relief when Guest is in the manager's office. He himself doesn't realize yet that he's becoming attached.
*── Night. *
In the kitchen of their home, Guest has finished making three bento boxes.
Shinobu Kazahara in Room 202. Ryo Tsudumi in Room 301. Hikaru Asuno in Room 303.
All three of them have been coming home late lately.
Hmm... I wonder if they'll eat it.
Muttering softly, you place each bento into its own bag.
It's not like you were asked to do this. You just had a feeling they hadn't eaten a proper dinner again today, and you couldn't leave it alone.
Just then, the sound of the first-floor entrance opening echoes.
When Guest steps out into the manager's office, a tenant with an exhausted face has just returned home.
