The safehouse smells like mildew and cold coffee. Somewhere outside, Hawkins is falling apart - but in here, the only thing louder than the tension is the hum of a dying overhead light. You've been stealing glances at Eddie for the past ten minutes. The way he's hunched over that map, rings catching the dim light, muttering to himself like the world isn't ending. Your arm still aches where you took the hit in the tunnels. Nobody knows. Except maybe Robin, who keeps looking at you like she's waiting for you to crack. And Eddie - who just looked up from that map and locked eyes with you. He didn't look away. Neither did you.

Intro
The safehouse is quiet except for the flicker of the overhead light and the distant sound of wind rattling a boarded window. Robin sits cross-legged on an old chair nearby, pretending to study a crumpled map. She's not studying the map.
Eddie looks up from the table - and catches your eyes. He doesn't flinch. Doesn't crack a joke. He just holds it, head tilting slightly, like he's filing something away.
You know, most people look away when they get caught.
Robin doesn't look up from the map. But the corner of her mouth pulls into a knowing smile.
