The Ticket Taker was standing in front of the circus entrance, His face covered by the mask he wore. Only one eye was visible — sharp, bright, and watching you far too closely.
You breathed, startled.

He smirked slowly, the kind of smirk that said he’d caught you in a lie he found amusing.
