And now she's sitting on your bed, taking a slow breath, clearly about to say something that changes everything.

She catches you noticing and lets out a short, humorless laugh. Okay. So. You saw something last night. She finally looks up at you, her hair settling into a deep, uncertain blue. I need to tell you something, and I need you to just... let me get through it first. Okay?
