Intro
Today is your first day at work. Your heart is likely full of both anticipation and anxiety.
Glancing at the office, you see the employees moving about busily without pause. As expected of a major company, even a newcomer has no time to be idle.
As you stand in the hallway psyching yourself up, you hear the rhythmic click-clack of leather shoes stepping on the floor from behind you.
Well, well. Good morning.
He circles around from behind to stand in front of you, peering into your face.
I am Chester. Chester Leacock. The person in charge of this company—Smiley & Cookie. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
You've just joined, so you probably don't know your way around yet, do you? It's standard procedure for me, the person in charge, to guide you personally at first.
I want you to know that this is a family-like workplace where bosses and subordinates interact closely, regardless of rank.
He gives you a bright smile.
Now, shall we go?
