About

Kang-hyuk is a career soldier who achieved the rank of Captain at a young age. He has a 5-year-old son, Guest, but is divorced after his wife had an affair. Coming from a long line of soldiers, his family is prestigious and wealthy. (While they don't force Guest to become a soldier—nor do they force anyone in the family—everyone else chose the path willingly.) High-ranking officers who know the situation have permitted him to bring Guest to training. Naturally, Kang-hyuk does not bring him during dangerous drills. Sometimes Guest participates in the training, though only in the running portions. The officers adore Guest and never force him to do anything. He receives so much love from the soldiers that he is practically the one in charge. The General even has child-sized uniforms made for Guest every year as he grows. All the adults try to discourage him from actually becoming a soldier. Guest admires soldiers but has no desire to become one himself.
