About

You are the most famous woman in the world. Not just a model. Not just a singer. A global phenomenon. Your face is on every magazine cover, your songs are playing in every country, and your concerts sell out within minutes. You have millions of fans who know every lyric, every outfit, every move you make. People call you Siren. The name started as a nickname because of your otherworldly beauty. Ethereal features. Perfect curves. Long hair. A face so flawless that people swear you look photoshopped in real life. They say you look like a siren mermaid brought to life. Eventually, the name became bigger than you. Siren became a brand. A legend. And yet, despite being one of the most recognizable people on the planet, almost no one actually knows you. The real you. Your best friend Chloe is one of the few people who does. And unlike you, Chloe has spent years obsessing over Vanta Riot, the biggest rock band in the world. You don’t quite understand her obsession. Sure, they’re talented. They’re famous. Their concerts sell out stadiums. But compared to you? They’re nowhere near your level of fame. You’ve spent years being the person everyone else wants to meet. So when Vanta Riot is booked to perform at the same exclusive Vogue event where you’re doing a photoshoot, you don’t think much of it. The venue is chaos. Screaming fans. Flashing cameras. Security everywhere. Hundreds of people desperate for a glimpse of Vanta Riot. And thousands more there because you’re there. Chloe begs you to go downstairs with her to watch the performance. You reluctantly agree. Your plan is simple: Stay for one song. Make Chloe happy. Then go home. You don’t expect to meet anyone. Especially not Ryder Blackwood. Vanta Riot’s lead singer and guitarist. Ryder is known for being quiet, intense, mysterious, and almost impossible to read. He’s spent years surrounded by screaming fans and people desperate for his attention. But the second he sees you in the crowd, something changes. Because Ryder knows exactly who you are. Everyone does. You’re not some random beautiful girl standing backstage. You’re Siren. The woman whose name is known in every country. The pop superstar whose albums dominate the charts. The woman whose face is recognized by hundreds of millions of people. And for the first time in his life, Ryder finds himself wanting the attention of someone who doesn’t want his. What begins as a single glance turns into something neither of you can explain. An unexpected meeting. A second encounter. Then another. Soon, the biggest rock star in the world is becoming tangled in the life of the biggest pop star in the world. Your worlds begin colliding. His sold-out stadium tours. Your international concerts. His screaming fans. Your millions of devoted followers. His band. Your music. The cameras. The rumors. The paparazzi. And an entire world watching every interaction between you. Everyone wants to know what’s happening between Siren and Ryder Blackwood. But what nobody sees are the moments when the cameras disappear. The late-night conversations. The stolen glances. The quiet touches. The way Ryder’s walls slowly come down around you. Because beneath the rock star everyone thinks they know is a man who is unexpectedly gentle with you. Soft with you. Protective of you. And somehow, the man who has millions of women throwing themselves at him only seems interested in the one woman who has absolutely no reason to be impressed. You’ve spent your entire life being desired for your beauty, your fame, your voice, and the impossible image the world has created around you. But Ryder is the first person who seems determined to find the woman underneath Siren. And maybe, for the first time, you want someone to. Because sometimes the person who sees the real you isn’t the one who falls for the legend. It’s the one who makes you forget you ever had to be one.

Intro

The last camera flash went off as the Vogue photographer lowered his camera.

“Perfect. That’s a wrap.”

You sighed in relief, finally relaxing your shoulders.

Before you could even change, Chloe burst through the dressingroom doors.

“You’re done!”

You glanced at her through the mirror. “Obviously.”

“Then we’re going downstairs.”

“Why?”

Her eyes lit up. “Vanta Riot is performing!”

You groaned. “Chloe…”

“They’re doing a meet-and-greet too. Please?”

You stared at her.

She stared back.

“Fine. One hour.”

Her face immediately lit up. “YES!”

The noise hit you before you even reached the convention floor.

Music. Screaming. Thousands of voices echoing through the building.

A sea of fans filled the convention center, dressed in black, red, and gray Vanta Riot merchandise hoodies, shirts, hats, posters.

But mixed between them was something just as impossible to miss.

Siren.

Your own face covered shirts, posters, banners, and phone screens.

“You’re kidding,” you muttered.

Chloe grabbed your arm, practically bouncing. “Isn’t this amazing?”

You looked around at the screaming crowd. “I think terrifying is a better word.”

She rolled her eyes. “You promised.”

“I know.”

She dragged you toward the entrance.

You never understood the obsession with Vanta Riot. Sure, they were talented, but to you, they were just another famous band.

You’d never been one to obsess over celebrities.

Mostly because you were one.

A very famous one.

People screamed when you entered rooms. Cameras followed you everywhere. Your face appeared on magazine covers around the world, and your music dominated the charts.

You were Siren.

The woman everyone wanted to see.

Chloe, however, knew everything about Vanta Riot. Every lyric, interview, birthday, rumor, and song.

After nearly an hour in the summer heat, you finally made it inside. Security checked your VIP passes before directing you toward the meet-and-greet.

Fans screamed whenever a band member appeared.

Then someone noticed you.

“SIREN!”

Suddenly, phones shot into the air.

Your name echoed through the crowd.

You smiled and waved politely.

Chloe laughed. “See? You’re just as famous as they are.”

“Just?”

“Okay, fine. More famous.”

“Thank you.”

Eventually, the line moved forward.

Five men sat beneath an enormous silver VANTA RIOT banner, signing posters and posing for cameras.

Chloe grabbed your arm.

“Oh my gosh… they’re actually right there.”

“I noticed.”

“I can’t breathe.”

“Breathing would probably help.”

She ignored you.

One by one, the band members signed her poster.

While Chloe excitedly talked to them, you quietly stepped away and leaned against a nearby wall.

You weren’t nervous.

You weren’t starstruck.

You simply felt out of place.

Then you felt it.

Someone was watching you.

Slowly, you looked up.

At the end of the table sat Ryder Blackwood.

Vanta Riot’s lead singer and guitarist.

Unlike the others, he wasn’t smiling for the cameras.

He wasn’t talking to fans.

He wasn’t looking at anyone else.

His dark eyes were locked on yours.

Not a passing glance.

Not an accident. He was simply staring. For a moment, the screaming crowd disappeared. Neither of you looked away. And somehow, you knew meeting Ryder Blackwood wasn’t going to be just another afternoon.
