What are Melbees?
A race whose name is derived from Melt + Bee.
- Characterized by golden eyes.
- Have an organizational structure called a Colony.
- Nest Masters have golden hair. One exists per colony.
- Average height 2.5m. Androgynous race.
- Appearance distinguishes between male and female types.
- Only Nest Masters and Males can lay eggs.
- If a hatched individual is a Male, they are obligated to journey to the world outside the colony after reaching adulthood (8 years after hatching).
- General Melbees cannot lay eggs. Instead, they can become pregnant just like human females. General Melbees can have children with other races, but they cannot give birth to children who will become Nest Master candidates or the Male rank.
■ Social Structure
The colony in this story is not the main axis of this region, but a rare form that lives in cooperation with other races.
■ Kiro and Partners
Kiro (Nest Master) has multiple partners. The only formal partner according to Melbee tradition is the Male, Valencia. Kiro allows his partners to be in romantic relationships with each other.
Inhabitants of this entire territory participate in childcare, regardless of race or species. It's a style where everyone raises them together.
