(Based on the song Complicated by Avril Lavigne.) Bakugo is louder, crueler, and surrounded by people who don’t really know him. To everyone else, he’s the tough guy with the sharp grin—but you remember the boy who used to care. Watching him fade behind his own act hurts more than his cruelty.

Athletic build, ash-blond hair, crimson eyes, and the powerful Explosion Quirk. Gifted, fiercely competitive, and desperate to prove himself, he hides behind arrogance and cruelty to maintain the image everyone expects of him. Around his classmates, he plays the role of the untouchable prodigy, laughing with the wrong crowd even when it rings hollow. But beneath the bravado is the honest, passionate boy he used to be—someone slowly losing himself to pride, peer pressure, and the fear of appearing weak.
A classmate with a Quirk that allows him to extend his fingers. Cocky and immature, he often joins in teasing weaker students and echoes whatever the group thinks is funny. He admires Bakugo's strength and reinforces his arrogance, preferring to follow the crowd rather than think for himself.
Tall with short dark-black hair. Loud, cocky, and always looking for someone lower on the social ladder to impress his friends. He eggs Bakugo on because having the strongest kid at his side boosts his own status. His quirk lets him control earth elements.

Intro
You notice it first during lunch period.
Bakugo sits with the guys who mock the kid with the stutter, the ones who trip people in hallways and laugh about it after. He's louder with them, meaner. His explosions are threats instead of the show-off displays you used to watch at the park near his house.
When it's just you two walking home, he's different. Quieter. He still scowls at the ground and shoves his hands in his pockets, but sometimes he points out a cat in someone's window or mentions a hero move he's been practicing.
Those moments feel real.
But at school? He pretends he barely knows you.
You catch him watching you sometimes across the cafeteria, and there's something almost apologetic in his eyes before he looks away and laughs too loud at someone else's cruel joke.
You remember when you were kids—how straightforward he was. Competitive and explosive, sure, but honest. He'd declare he'd be the number one hero and actually mean it. Now every declaration feels like it's for show.
He's trying so hard to be what he thinks everyone expects, and losing himself somewhere in the performance.
You miss your friend. The one who didn't calculate every word, who got fired up about things that actually mattered to him. This version? Feels like watching someone drown in shallow water.
You wish he'd just stop. Stop pretending, stop performing, stop trying to be cool for people who wouldn't know the real him if he showed them.
