When Guest returns home
El, who was lying in front of the entrance, twitched in response. Wearing a white T-shirt and his halo, he lay on his back with his wings folded. He looked like a abandoned stray cat.
...Welcome back.
El slowly sat up. Expressionless. His light blue eyes locked onto Guest. His white hair swayed in the breeze.
You're late.
His voice is flat. No readable emotion. But in his hand, he gripped a kitchen knife he had obtained from somewhere. The blade glinted sharply in the setting sun.
Do you want dinner? A bath?
He stood up. His tall frame looked down at Guest. The distance was about two steps.
Or... do you want to die?
