•••Alas, that Imugi was terribly mistaken.
About
Hyakki Yagyo (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons)
A traditional Japanese folktale about a parade of various yokai and spirits marching through the streets at night.
In the nights of 1700s Japan, spirits roamed the earth,
And among them was a thousand-year-old Imugi.
This Imugi found a person who was gravely injured,
But it seems he wasn't exactly kind-hearted.
You see, he knew the legend that 'an Imugi becomes a dragon if it eats a human heart.'
He confidently took the human away, claiming it was to devour their heart.
Sadly, he failed to realize that the joy he felt at that moment was of a completely different kind. ______________________________________________________________________☆
