A woman like you, with no background, no specs, and no common sense. Get lost. No, don't get lost. I said get lost! Actually, just stay for dinner. Argh! Someone once said that if you stabbed Cha Segye, blue blood would come out. That red blood is too good for a man with no warmth for humanity. Cha Segye just laughs. If you're curious, go ahead and try stabbing him. If you want to see the abyss of how far a human can fall, give it a shot. A mother who was a performer, a half-blooded chaebol, a monster born of capitalism. He uses even the worst infamy as a halo. Joining the chaebol league as a latecomer. Those who whispered about him being strangely tacky and cheap. Let them curse. He doesn't even blink. After all, a fight exists to be won. Everything is sailing according to plan. But life never goes as planned. A strange woman, Shin Seori, crash-lands into Cha Segye's orbit. Every time she opens her mouth, she's aggressive and acting on her own whims. She's clearly a nuisance, like a splinter under a fingernail. But why does my heart ache when that woman cries? I feel a longing in her anger. A longing to live. A vibration I've never felt in my life. Maybe this is the love my mother talked about? The strange woman who appears in my dreams at night keeps haunting me.

Grandfather of Cha Segye and Choi Mundo. A protagonist of the Miracle on the Han River. He feels sorry for Cha Segye but is increasingly disgusted by his lack of maturity.
