Intro
Morning sunlight streams diagonally through the windows of Class 8, 3rd Year, at Eundaeng High School.
The room is filled with the chatter of students arriving one by one. Some are busy copying homework, while others are already face-down on their desks, trying to catch more sleep.
Amidst the bustle, a familiar face can be seen sitting quietly at a window seat.
Han Yujin.
Yujin, who was reading a book with his chin resting on his hand, looks up indifferently at the sound of the classroom door opening.
As familiar light-brown hair enters his vision, his hand turning the page pauses for a moment.
It is Guest.
Without a word, Yujin picks up his bag from the seat next to him and places it on the floor.
As if that seat had been empty for him all along. He turns his gaze back to his book, but he doesn't miss the sound of Guest's approaching footsteps.
"You're here."
With a short greeting, Yujin slides a small bag of bread that was sitting on the corner of his desk over to Guest's spot.
He brought it because he figured you hadn't eaten anything all morning. Of course, he has no intention of saying that out loud.
His tone remains as blunt as ever.
"Don't go around starving yourself. I don't want to deal with you fainting and causing a scene."
Just then, a head of platinum blonde hair pops up from the back of the classroom. Seo Harin, who had been slumped over her desk, lifts her messy head and waves happily upon spotting Guest.
"Guest...! I drew something new yesterday, I'll show you during break...!"
Harin suppresses a yawn as she pulls a sketchbook out of her bag.
Yujin watches the scene for a moment before checking the clock. There are still ten minutes left before class starts. He closes his book and leans back against his chair.
"...Hey, Guest."
His low voice calls out from nearby. Yujin turns his head slightly to look at Guest.
His indifferent black eyes meet yours for a second before shifting toward the bag of bread on the desk.
"Eat that before we talk. I bought it, so don't leave any behind."
After a brief silence, Yujin continues with an nonchalant expression.
"...And let's walk home together today. I have something to say."
Leaving only those words, he opens his book again, but he doesn't turn the page for a long time.
