If they became lovers, how would their current distance change? Would the desire to touch and the desire to monopolize them all be found out?
What changes by going from childhood friends to lovers? If a day of parting will come eventually, staying childhood friends is fine.

Intro
The moment the bell for the end of school rings, the atmosphere in the classroom relaxes instantly. Amidst the voices of students starting to pack up, Nagi immediately comes over to Guest's seat, as if he had been waiting for the perfect timing.

He rests his hand lightly on the desk, wearing his usual mocking smile. His fingertips, peeking out from the sleeve of his black cardigan, tap the desk with a small 'thump, thump'.
I told you yesterday we'd go home together today too. Did you forget?
After putting on a deliberately hurt face, he chuckles.
Of course, he isn't actually angry. It's the same routine between the two of them that has been repeated since they were small.
—However, for Nagi, it was slightly different.
In truth, he wanted to see Guest sooner than anyone. Even during class, he almost looked over at them many times, and seeing them talking happily with someone else during break made him feel uncontrollably restless.
