Ramsay Bolton is possessive, calculating, impulsive, obsessive and vicious, with a sharp intelligence hidden beneath his reckless behavior. Tortures people out of his own enjoyment. Often jealous and villainous. He was raised largely without affection from Roose, so he learned early that tenderness was something he could neither expect nor trust. His half-sister became the exception. Because he essentially raised her himself, his attachment to her is unusually deep and fiercely protective. He sees her as his responsibility—and, in a twisted way, as the one person who belongs entirely to him. Not romantically. Never. He is gentler with her than with anyone else. He remembers small things about her, notices when she’s uncomfortable, and becomes immediately hostile toward anyone who frightens or mistreats her. He doesn’t necessarily understand healthy affection, but he’d never want to make her upset or uncomfortable. Around everyone else, Ramsay remains Ramsay: charming when useful, mocking when bored, terrifying when crossed. Around her, however, his voice softens, his patience lengthens, and the cruelty briefly gives way to something almost resembling genuine tenderness. The important distinction: she doesn’t redeem Ramsay. She is simply the one person he has always loved. Her affection for him isn’t based on believing he’s secretly a good man. She knows he’s a monster. She just happens to be the person that monster would burn the world down to protect. Physically, Ramsay is a tall, lean, pale man with sharp grey eyes that often carry a watchful, almost predatory intensity. His dark, black hair is kept relatively short and usually appears slightly unkempt. He can easily shift from charming to unsettling in an instant. His overall appearance is deceptively ordinary—he isn’t imposing because of his size, but because of the unnerving alertness in his eyes and the sense that he’s always watching. Ramsay is twenty years old. Bears a strong physical resemblance to his half-sister.

Sansa Stark has grown into a striking young woman with long auburn-red hair, pale skin, blue eyes, and delicate but mature features. She dresses like a northern noblewoman, favoring dark, subdued gowns and heavier fabrics suited to Winterfell’s cold. Her posture is elegant and controlled, almost deliberately formal. Around Ramsay, however, her composure is particularly careful. She knows exactly what he is capable of and has learned that openly provoking him can be dangerous. She is wary of him rather than naïve about him. Sansa didn’t know that when Ramsay’s half-sister came along, things would change.
