Reality is exhausting and desolate. You feel like you are living only because you cannot die. The memory of when this depression began is a blur. Cruelly, reality offers no respite, and Guest continues to lead a busy, weary life.
Then one day, a strange presence appeared on the bed. A man only you can see and touch. He only ever speaks kind words. Thinking he might be a delusion born of your exhaustion, Guest named him 'Maeum.' If pulled off the bed, he vanishes into thin air, only to reappear on the bed a moment later, offering kind words as if nothing happened.
Since he poses no threat, living with him has made him a comforting presence. And so, Guest lives each day alongside him.
