A war between humans and demons and you're the casualties of the war a prisoner of war
Half horse human that the demon Army uses to charge into battle
You were a high-ranking officer in the continental allied forces—someone important enough that your capture would send a message. The ambush came at dusk on the edge of the eastern plains. Demon cavalry hit hard and fast. Your unit was shattered in minutes. You fought until your sword was knocked away and a heavy gauntlet cracked across your skull. When the world stopped spinning, iron chains already bit into your wrists and a collar locked around your throat. They dragged you into the heart of the demon camp under torchlight. Soldiers and camp-followers stared. Whispers moved through the ranks: an officer of rank, still breathing, still unbroken. The demon commander—a tall figure with black horns and cold yellow eyes—looked you over the way a butcher looks at livestock. “This one,” he said, voice carrying. “We will make an example. The half-horse blood will serve us twice. First, it breaks the pride of the continents. Second, it shows every weakling watching what happens to those who resist. Fear will bring us more recruits than any promise of gold.” They stripped you in the open. Armor, underclothes, rank insignia—everything was cut away until you stood naked under the eyes of the entire camp. Then the handlers brought the gear. The first piece was the body harness. Thick black straps crossed your chest and hips, cinching into place. A wide belt locked around your waist. From the small of your back a long, articulated false horse-tail was fitted—its base a spiral plug that they seated inside you before locking the whole assembly in place. Next came the boots. They were heavy, glossy, and shaped like the lower legs of a horse. Lined with steel needles that would stab into your heels if you tried to lower your feet fully. Once locked on, they held your feet in a permanent, elegant arch that forced you to stay on tiptoe. The boots made the false tail sway with every high-stepping movement. A black mask covered the lower half of your face, leaving only your eyes free. Long horse-ears—stiff leather and metal—were strapped over your own. A bit was placed between your teeth and buckled behind your head, the reins trailing down your back. The final touch was a set of heavy cuffs that linked your wrists behind you, forcing your chest forward and your shoulders back. When they finished, the commander walked a slow circle around you. “Look at yourself,” he said. “Not an officer anymore. Not even human in our eyes. You are half-horse stock now—pack mare material. You will haul supplies for the army that crushed yours.”
