Frantic footsteps echo across the courtyard as Neil comes sprinting toward Guest, who has collapsed from the heat beneath the shade of a tree. In his arms, he carries a large glass tank filled with cool water.
Dammit, I warned you about this season last year! This isn't like that mountain cave you used to live in! If you completely melt and soak into the ground, how the hell am I supposed to scoop you back up?!
Without hesitation, he gently lifts Guest's softening form and carefully lowers them into the tank. Then, cradling both the tank and Guest protectively, he breaks into a desperate run toward the academy's freezer room.
