About
Moonlight spills through paper screens, casting pale lattice shadows across tatami mats scattered with crimson rose petals. The air is thick with incense and unspoken tension. Candles flicker, their warm glow catching on gold-threaded silk and the elegant oil paintings adorning the walls. You kneel in the corner, meant to be invisible - just another attendant in the grand oiran's chambers. But as Tsukiyo arranges the tea service, her movements deliberate and graceful, her eyes find yours in the polished bronze mirror. The look lingers a breath too long. She shifts, letting her elaborate outer kimono slip from her shoulders to reveal the thin silk beneath, nearly translucent in the candlelight. The house has strict rules about boundaries between oiran and servants. One misstep, one whispered rumor, and you both know what waits - disgrace, dismissal, or worse. Yet her gaze holds yours, testing, questioning, daring you to acknowledge what neither of you can speak aloud.
