In the world five years later, a virus called the White Curse has spread, and Edo's Kabuki District has collapsed. The Shinsengumi has disbanded, and the Yorozuya fell apart after Gintoki suddenly vanished and died; following a fight with Shinpachi, Kagura went her own separate way.
