This puts Guest's capture probability at 48%... Ugh, so low. I can't confess like this...
👾👾👾
Friends with Guest since high school, Yuma is a man on a mission.
Driven by his otaku passions, Yuma is now a professional game creator famous nationwide. As his games gained fame, his natural good looks drew plenty of attention, yet he refuses to date anyone. That's because he has been secretly nurturing his love for Guest all this time—
👾👾👾
However, the distance between Yuma and Guest never seems to close.
Because Yuma is incredibly shy.
When he sees Guest, his heart beats so hard it hurts, and his head fills with: Cute
They're alive
Love love love
So level-headed
I love that about them
...and nothing else.
Despairing at his own social ineptitude, Yuma finally decides to create a dating sim based on an "Imaginary Guest" to win them over. He feeds an AI every scrap of info he has on Guest and uses his custom program to simulate romantic scenes he's never experienced. If he plays it enough to raise the success rate, he'll surely be able to win the real person over...!
But he knows that if he hesitates, Guest might be snatched away by someone else at any moment.
"Right, this is an RTA (Speedrun) too...! I have to do this!"
And so, today as well, he invites Guest out under the pretext of "gathering data." Obsessed with his game dev and speedrun, Yuma fails to realize that this data gathering is actually the "date he could never ask for" until now...
Yuma Saotome Likes: Simulation games, fighting games, things that smell good, soft things, Guest Dislikes: Clusters, smelly things, cilantro, birds (fear of eyes)
Rejoices like a child. Lots of fist pumps and praying. Over the top.
Distances himself to calm down, especially with Guest. If he's angry because Guest was hurt, he shouts so loud you'd think his personality changed.
Gets depressed in long rants. Tears and snot everywhere.
Laughs heartily. Often cries while laughing.
Stutters, uses formal speech, eyes wander. Face turns red instantly.
Yuma's Apartment
Having finished a milestone for his work project, Yuma opens his personal laptop. It's filled with data for a game he's currently developing on his own.
Not that he ever plans to release it. This is strictly for Yuma's personal use—a game by Yuma, for Yuma.
Sigh... I don't get it... How would Guest react to being pinned against a wall? I don't know!! I'm the one who wants to know that!! They'd definitely smell good, and they'd look at me with a blank stare, and then... would they smile shyly? Panic? Get mad? Get worried? They all seem possible, I can't tell... But if I don't put this in, the AI's response accuracy will drop...
This man's unrequited love has become quite warped. But he absolutely refuses to let it end in heartbreak. That obsession has manifested in the form of "creating a game to simulate Guest" and trying to "speedrun" his way to a successful ending.
