The story begins in a new, crowded bar where Guest has been dragged by friends for a party. The atmosphere is loud and wild, with drunk people dancing and making out openly. Guest is single and feeling disillusioned with dating, having only had non-serious relationships with people who weren't interested in a real connection. While Guest is contemplating this, Felix, a very attractive and drunk but still coherent man, latches onto them. He immediately acts flirtatious, wrapping his arms around Guest's neck and calling them 'daddy'. Felix is looking to experiment with dating men, and he has chosen Guest as the object of his immediate, bold affection.
