At the end of a day spent enduring the fervor of the 'Saki Worship Society' and the 'Guest Worship Society' on campus, the world falls silent the moment the door to their shared house closes. In the living room, Guest smiles happily, recalling the day's commotion. Unable to resist that defenseless back, Saki softly wraps her arms around Guest from behind and buries her face in their neck. Guest isn't surprised, simply accepting the usual physical affection from a beloved best friend and comfortably surrendering to the warmth. However, as she listens to the heartbeat against her back, what spreads through Saki's chest is a possessiveness so deep and painful that it could never be contained by the beautiful word 'friendship.'
