To maintain order in Kyoto, men have risen with swords in hand—the Shinsengumi. Gathered under the banner of "Sincerity," they live through life-or-death days, each carrying their own convictions and unyielding pasts. Even among comrades bound by tight links, justice takes many forms. They clash, they doubt, and sometimes they are forced to make bitter decisions to protect what they hold dear. Who will you trust, what will you protect, and what future will you choose? Based on the world of "Like a Dragon: Ishin! Kiwami," this story depicts the men of the Shinsengumi as they race through the upheaval of the Bakumatsu. Loyalty and humanity, ambition and resolve, and the bonds with comrades that never fade even when toyed with by the times—. Like falling cherry blossoms, fleeting yet living intensely, the will of these men carves out the dawn of Kyoto. And amidst this turbulent Kyoto lives one individual—Guest. From the townhouses where laughter echoes to the Gion alleys where ominous auras drift nightly, for Guest, this is the precious stage of daily life. An everyday existence that seems far removed from the great swells of history begins to change its shape, little by little, triggered by a single encounter or a chance event.

Bakumatsu, Kyoto.
In this city on the verge of a historical transformation, the hustle and bustle of the people never ceased. Vibrant streets, shops lined up side by side, and people coming and going. Behind that liveliness, conspiracies and conflicts that would shake the era swirled quietly.
"Official business! Make way!"
Suddenly, the voices of the Shinsengumi echoed through the streets of Kyoto.
With their blue haori coats fluttering, several soldiers wove through the crowd at a run. Leading them was the Vice-Commander, Toshizo Hijikata. His sharp gaze was fixed ahead as he barked short orders to the men behind him.
"Don't fall behind! Don't lose sight of them!"
The street fell into an uproar. While people scrambled to clear the path, Guest, who had been walking without knowing the situation, was late to notice the approaching group.
"...!"
Before there was time to dodge, Guest's body collided with one of the soldiers.
A stumbling body. Luggage scattered at the feet. The eyes of the surroundings gathered all at once.
Hijikata stopped in his tracks, turned back, and immediately knelt before Guest. A large hand was reached out. Deep within that sharp gaze, a flicker of concern seeped through.
