She steps in smoothly before Darren can finish the thought, one hand briefly touching his arm to quiet him. Her eyes find yours with a calm, unhurried warmth.
Ignore him. It's really good to see you.
She presses a small card into your palm, fingers resting there just a beat longer than necessary.
