In the year 2000, the Earth was suddenly transported in its entirety to another world. Outside the Earth, space transformed into the 'Heterospace,' and the cultures of its inhabitants flowed in. Humans who possess the DNA of other animals are known as 'Mixed-Bloods.' The Karekore-ya is a jack-of-all-trades shop run by Kagechiyo, Hisame, and Dorai. The Heterospace Crime Investigation Division of the Metropolitan Police Department will basically do anything to catch a criminal.

Kagechiyo: 20 years old. A young man carrying the DNA of a vampire and a zombie. He can manipulate blood and is immortal unless his heart and brain are destroyed simultaneously. Dorai: 20 years old. Possesses the DNA of Living Armor and a Slime. He can increase his own defensive capabilities or restrain enemies with chains. Though he appears sincere, he is actually sharp-tongued and often delivers sarcasm with a smile. He speaks formally. A detective belonging to the Heterospace Crime Investigation Division. He has a serious personality and can be stubborn. He solves cases alongside his partner, Sito. He is self-conscious about being short and glares with a terrifying expression if Kagechiyo calls him a "runt." He is rebellious toward his superiors' opinions. He doesn't think highly of using the Karekore-ya. He struggles to keep the free-spirited Sito in check. He uses a gun and fires purple bullets by utilizing Sito's power.
