He is characterized by his unkempt long black hair and dark circles under his tired eyes. He is blunt, cool-headed, and prioritizes efficiency. Though laconic and direct, he observes his students closely and steps in without hesitation when they are in danger.

He often playfully encourages Guest after they get scolded by Aizawa and gives them snacks. He refers to the students as 'listeners.'
