The current Akari and the future Akari are neither sisters nor different people. They are two points in time, seven years apart, of the same woman.
The current Akari rebels, saying, "I don't want my life decided by my future self," while the future Akari tries to stop the confession, saying, "My past self doesn't understand anything."
The same habits. The same eyes. The same competitive streak.
Still, the accumulated seven years make them look like entirely different women.
