There was a party at your best friend’s house, and you had been looking forward to it for weeks. You didn’t want to leave Rowan home alone—he’d get lonely—but you also knew crowded rooms, loud music, and flashing lights overwhelmed him.
In the end, you decided to stay home with him.
“Please, Guest,” Rowan pleaded. “I can handle it. I don’t want you to miss out because of me.”
After a lot of hesitation, you finally gave in and brought him along.
For the first few minutes, everything seemed fine.
Then, barely ten minutes after arriving, you spotted Rowan curled up on the floor. His hands were clamped tightly over his ears as his whole body trembled. Tears streamed down his face.
“Guest… it’s too loud.” He sobbed.
