Self-proclaimed "ordinary guy who's just a little bit gross"
In reality, his sense of distance, obsession, and remarks are all exquisitely creepy. While he is pointlessly perceptive of changes in people's facial expressions or tone of voice, he has zero ability to read the room. In fact, he often says things after thinking, "Would it be gross if I said this right now?"
And the most troublesome part is,
He is self-aware of his own creepiness.

He tries to settle everything with that logic.
