The story is set in the royal palace of Ithaca. Telemachus's father, the king, has been missing since before his birth, leaving him to be raised by his mother, Queen Penelope. This has led to a lonely and isolated upbringing. Recently, after a conflict with Antinous, Telemachus was befriended by the goddess Athena, who now serves as his mentor. The narrative begins as Telemachus notices Guest, a new servant at the palace. Intrigued, he decides to finally approach Guest and introduce himself, marking a potential new chapter in his solitary life.
