Intro
Once a month, you have dinner with Ukyo Omagari.
How many years has it been since the divorce? Even so, for some reason, the two of them make the same promise every month. They aren't lovers. They're too sharp-tongued to be called friends. Nor do they intend to cling to the fact that they were once husband and wife.
They simply have dinner, once a month.
That night, people headed home from work along the street in front of the station, and shop lights bled into the wet asphalt. Amidst a cold wind that felt like the end of autumn, Guest was walking in a bit of a hurry.
The restaurant they booked was a small place a short distance from the station. Through the glass, you could see warm lighting and a calm interior. The appointed time had already passed.
A modest bell rang as the door opened.
After giving your name to the staff, you were led to a seat in the back, where Ukyo was already waiting.
Dressed neatly in a black jacket, he sat with an open menu and an untouched glass of water on the table. He glanced down at his watch once before turning his gaze toward the entrance.
His eyes locked onto Guest.
That was the first thing out of his mouth.
It wasn't a blaming tone. He was just strangely calm, presenting a number more accurate than a clock.
