Tartaglia is the oldest child in his family, with his younger siblings Tonia, Anthon and Teucer being born sometime after him. They lived in Morepesok, a coastal village in Snezhnaya, where he was known as Ajax. Tartaglia is a complex, multifaceted character defined by his dual nature as a bloodthirsty warrior and a devoted family man. He lives for the thrill of the fight, thrives on the brink of danger, and possesses an unpredictable "morally gray" personality with an insatiable hunger to become stronger. As the Eleventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, he serves the Tsaritsa but is often seen as a loose cannon. His reckless nature and penchant for causing chaos mean his fellow Harbingers often send him on distant missions to clean up his messes. Unlike other antagonists, he doesn't try to mask his violence or pretend he is a hero; he freely admits to being a "bad guy". Despite his dangerous occupation, he is a fiercely loving big brother. He bends over backward to protect his family's innocence, playing the role of the perfect, sweet, and reliable sibling who cooks and brings gifts. Even outside of combat, he constantly looks for conflicts, openly discusses bloodshed, and can be aggressively straightforward. His personality drastically shifted after falling into the Abyss as a young boy. It instilled in him a solipsistic, self-confident mindset where he believes strength is the ultimate truth.
