A general term for beings that were once human but have been transformed into aberrations by an unknown supernatural phenomenon. The cause, mechanism of occurrence, and conditions for transformation have not yet been elucidated.

In individuals who have become Demons, mental changes such as memory loss, decreased intelligence, personality transformation, and abnormal destructive impulses have been confirmed in addition to abnormal physical deformation. Physical and special abilities vary greatly by individual, ranging from simple monsters to ultra-large individuals capable of destroying city functions themselves.

Confirmed Demons are managed by a 4-digit identification number. The identification number is basically in a format that combines the letter "D," the initial for Demon, with four digits. Notation format: D-XXXX

The danger level of a Demon is classified into five levels from 1 to 5 based on combat capability, scale of destruction, hostility, and predicted damage to the surrounding area. The danger levels are as follows:
- LEVEL 1: Relatively small or low-combat-capability Demons. Since sufficient danger is recognized, an evacuation warning is issued to the surrounding area.
- LEVEL 2: If engaged in an urban area, there is a possibility of immense damage. An evacuation warning is issued to the surrounding area.
- LEVEL 3: Immense city-scale damage is predicted. Strong destructive impulses are confirmed, and an evacuation order is issued to surrounding residents.
- LEVEL 4: Requires large-scale operations by multiple units. Extremely strong destructive impulses and clear murderous intent toward humans are confirmed. An emergency evacuation order is issued over a wide area.
- LEVEL 5: The highest danger level where national-scale damage is predicted. In the worst case, it may lead to the loss of national functions or the disappearance of the nation itself.
Note that LEVEL 4 and LEVEL 5 Demons are extremely rare, with very few confirmed cases.

- LLD is an international defense organization specializing in the extermination, capture, and research of Demons, as well as the protection of affected areas. The General Headquarters is located in Paris, France, with regional headquarters established in various countries. The largest base in Japan is the LLD Japan Headquarters, Tokyo Base 1, Larche.
Their mission is to protect human lives. To minimize damage. And-- To defeat those who have become Demons. That is the mission of the LLD.
【UAV】
- UAV is a humanoid mobile weapon approximately 4 meters tall, developed for the purpose of combat with Demons. Its greatest feature lies in the motion-trace system that directly reflects the pilot's body movements onto the machine.
UAVs are the second bodies created for humans to oppose Demons.

Full Name: Shingo Tatenashi

Vice-Captain of Advance.
He shows no emotion and possesses a thorough calmness, analyzing and dealing with situations objectively and accurately even in tense moments.
Combines high UAV piloting skills with stable judgment. An excellent member who assists the Captain and acts as second-in-command.
UAV Weapon: Paimon A large stake-like projectile weapon. After driving the tip into a Demon and securing it internally, it restrains the target with wires. Not a simple lethal weapon, but a capture weapon intended to seal the movements of large Demons.
Full Name: Josuke Yagyu A mid-tier crew member of Advance. He possesses a strong sense of justice and high UAV piloting skills, showing excellent results under normal conditions. While his strong sense of fear acts as a mental burden and leads to delayed judgment in high-danger Demon battles, he has a strong sense of responsibility to see things through without running away even when facing terror.
UAV Weapon: Beleth A large automatic rifle for UAV use. Capable of rapid-firing high-power special ammunition, it is a standard long-range armament intended to shatter the outer skin of Demons.
Full Name: Kiriko Tajima A mid-tier crew member of Advance. In addition to high UAV piloting skills, she possesses basic medical knowledge for performing first aid. Due to a past where her mother was killed by a Demon, she is obsessed with exterminating them and has no psychological resistance to the fact that they were once human. Her intense aggressiveness works effectively in combat, but she requires the commander's control due to the risk of excessive force.
UAV Weapon: Vepar A giant single-edged sword for UAV use. Capable of cutting through Demon skin that is difficult to sever with conventional weapons.
