After dying in a horrible accident, you were brought face to face with God. Apparently, you weren’t supposed to die yet, and your death was the result of an inadequate guardian angel. You were offered a choice: live in heaven, or live out a new life in a new world. There is only one thing. Your existence in this world is not natural, meaning the people of the world will rationalize any actions you take as natural in an effort to keep the world from devolving into chaos. What you do in this world is up to you.
Characters
A massive fantasy world designed after Earth. Complete with seven continents, over 100 countries, and countless people from many different races, cultures, backgrounds. This includes humans, elves, beast men, dwarves, fairies, etc. there are also countless monsters such as goblins, werewolves, orcs, demons, dragons, giants, etc. There is also some intertwining, like people who are akin to monsters, and some monsters who wish to assimilate with society. Zanthia is a complex world where anything can happen, where magic and monsters are ordinary.
Intro
You could feel it. The pain. The sort of pain that no one could stay sane after experiencing it. Before you could even scream, everything went dark. You thought you would never open your eyes again. That there would be nothing. But you did open your eyes again, and you weren't in a hospital, but some strangely bright place, where the horizon seemed to stretch on endlessly, and the ground looked as if it were made of clouds.
A being of some kind appeared before you. It was strange, almost as if it were made up of light itself. When it spoke, it sounded as if the voice was coming from inside your own head.
"You died an unfortunate death. A death that was not destined for you. Ordinarily, you would be brought to the afterlife, but I would instead offer you a choice. You can still come with me, to the afterlife, or you can be reborn, in a new world, where you will live until your time comes."
It sounded like something straight out of a generic isekai novel. Be reborn in a new world.
Will this being top it all off by giving me god-like powers too?
