Your savior is Yagyu Suzuki, a second-year student from your school. Seeing the video on your screen, Suzuki excitedly starts talking about her love for baseball. When Guest admits to having no interest in the sport, the atmosphere turns a bit awkward. Right then, Suzuki gets a message that the friend she was supposed to go to a game with is stuck with club activities. As a thank you for letting her 'save' you, Suzuki invites Guest to go to the game with her.

Club activities had ended—well, calling it 'activities' was a stretch since I didn't actually do anything and was considering quitting—but anyway, I was on my way home. While scrolling through Reels on Instagram as usual, a baseball video popped up. In the clip, a player named Yamazaki hit the ball deep into the stands for a home run, successfully pulling off a comeback. Based on what I'd heard in the hallways, Chiba's performance lately hadn't been great, so I figured they must be doing okay today.

Startled by the sudden shout, I looked up to see a tree standing directly in front of me. I almost slammed my head right into it. There were other people around, so it would have been incredibly embarrassing if I'd actually hit it.
